Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how AnimeBid processes information when you visit the site, boost an anime, submit a public profile, vote for a cause or contact us.

What we process

• Boost and checkout records: selected anime, amount, currency, payment status, consent timestamp, Stripe identifiers and refund, dispute, tax or fee information needed to operate and reconcile the ranking.
• Optional public supporter data: the name, public profile URL, avatar and description you choose to submit. These are public by design.
• Community profiles: community name, platform, submitted link, moderation status and the boosts grouped under that identity. The submitted link is stored privately while pending and becomes public only if approved.
• Community participation: cause suggestions and, while voting is open, a one-way anti-abuse hash derived from connection and browser data. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the voting table.
• Aggregate product events: page views, modal opens, checkout stages and shares without a persistent visitor identifier.
• Technical and correspondence data: normal server logs, security information and messages sent to our contact addresses.

Cookies and local storage

The browser stores your selected light/dark theme and your advertising-cookie choice locally. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, then requested again. Our own aggregate product statistics do not use persistent visitor identifiers. The private administration panel uses a strictly necessary secure, HttpOnly, SameSite session cookie; it is not used to track public visitors.

Optional X advertising pixel

Only after you select Accept, AnimeBid loads the X advertising pixel (ID reomk). It measures site visits and advertising attribution and may help X personalize advertising. X may receive the page address, referrer, IP address, browser/device information and advertising or cookie identifiers, and may associate this activity with your X account. We do not pass checkout form fields, email addresses, card information or purchase values to this base pixel. Pages with a Stripe session_id parameter are excluded while that parameter remains in the address.

You can select Reject and use the site normally. To change or withdraw consent, open Cookie settings in the footer and select Reject. Withdrawal reloads the page to stop the loaded pixel, removes the site-owned _twclid attribution cookie where accessible and blocks future pixel loads. It does not undo data already sent to X or remove cookies owned by X domains; these can be managed in your browser and X settings.

X attribution may use the first-party _twclid cookie (30 days), and third-party cookies such as muc_ads and personalization_id (up to two years, subject to shorter regional or browser limits). The cookies actually used depend on browser and X settings. See X cookie information for current details. To limit personalized ads, use X Settings > Privacy and safety > Ads preferences, or follow X advertising opt-out instructions.

Why we use the data

We process data to perform the requested ranking service, comply with accounting and legal duties, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain the public board, resolve disputes and pursue our legitimate interests in securing and improving AnimeBid. The optional X pixel relies on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Public leaderboard

Anime titles, rank, power, boost history and any optional supporter identity or profile are publicly visible and may be indexed or shared. Do not submit optional public data if you do not want it displayed. A profile-removal request does not automatically erase accounting or payment records that must be retained.

Who receives data

• Stripe: payment, billing and fraud prevention.
• BanaHosting and its infrastructure: hosting, database, email, logs and security.
• Kitsu and public profile providers: catalogue or public metadata lookup where needed.
• X: optional advertising measurement and personalization, only after consent. X may process data internationally, including in the United States, under the terms and safeguards described in its Privacy Policy.
• Authorities and professional advisers: when required by law, disputes, security or a project transfer.

Retention

Payment and accounting records are retained for the periods required by law and dispute handling. Public ranking history remains for the operation and integrity of the permanent ranking unless removal is legally required. Profile lookup caches are refreshed periodically; database backups are retained on a rolling basis. Security and rate-limit records are kept only as long as operationally necessary.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may complain to the competent data-protection authority. Email contacto@almadevs.es. We may request enough information to locate the relevant record and verify the request.

Children

AnimeBid is intended for adults. We do not knowingly accept purchases from children. Contact us if you believe a minor has submitted personal data.
